If time was a currency, how would you invest it?

Or the other headline for this post is “Life is to be short to be Surrounded by Assholes.”

As I get older, I realize how valuable my time is and where I invest it is one of the most important choices I need to make. And some times looking forward to an experience and then feeling disappointed is important. It gets you thinking about 1) what you wanted your expectations of an event to deliver and 2) what you don’t want in your life.

A Kid in A Candy Store

It’s summer, which is my absolute favorite time of the year. I can live in hot weather year round and will probably do it later in life. And, I am free. I have no templates to fill out, no marathon meetings to attend and no office politics to increase my blood pressure. I am finally able to eat healthy and also run and dance in the pool for over an hour a day. I am shedding my “corporate fat” slowly and hope to get my body back one day soon.

Working with a start-up right now is an incredible adventure. I am working with really smart people who are passionate about what they do and together, we are creating and building. I feel like a little kid in the candy store looking at all the choices and options … and wanting to go for all of them.

Summer Time

Been a bit lax in writing these past few weeks although my head is full of what I wish I had time to write. It’s not laziness or writer’s block but simply priorities of spending time in the summer with family. So in the meantime, in case you thought I vanished, here are some profound words by Danielle Laporte that hit home this morning:

The good news is that we can choose to erase some old structures in ourselves, re-jig our karma, smash down a few limiting belief systems, but the first step is to realize that hard work is only half the equation of success — if that. The rest is energetics.
